Eliya was born in Paris and comes from a mix of Jewish, French, Turkish, and Spanish backgrounds, which gave him a love for exploring. He studied cinematography and spent four years in New York City working as an editor and camera professional on documentaries, fashion projects, and commercials.

Currently based in Barcelona, he produced and directed thought-provoking short documentaries. He is passionate about exploring identity, self-discovery, queerness, and the secrets people keep from one another.

Inspired by his work on Holocaust documentaries, he adopts an intimate and humanistic approach, employing visual poetry to create a profound connection with a broad audience. His passion lies in crafting evocative narratives that resonate on a deep emotional level.
