Eliya was born in Paris to a diverse Jewish, French, Turkish, and Spanish heritage, he developed a passion for storytelling early on, inspired by films and their ability to create connection and belonging.

After studying filmmaking, he spent four years in New York, honing his craft as an editor and camera assistant on fashion projects, short films, and commercials. His work on Holocaust documentaries profoundly shaped his perspective, highlighting the power of personal narratives. Moving to Barcelona, he directed documentaries and music videos while using photography as a personal outlet.

Themes of self-discovery and transcendence became central to his work, reflecting his journey of embracing gender fluidity and the idea that identity is an ongoing process, not a fixed destination. In his visual art, he uses blurred imagery to convey the deeper truths revealed through emotion, inviting viewers to explore the beauty of ambiguity and transformation.

In 2025, he won the grant writing of Beaumarchais - SACD for his project “La poussière danse”.
